Associated Press: Your refusal to retract your article is contributing to needless deaths from COVID-19

Let’s be clear about something. They were given the evidence. All of it. Lots of it. Dr. Pierre Kory, President of the Frontline COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC) was interviewed by an AP “reporter” and gave her access to numerous irrefutable scientific studies from around the world showing that ivermectin had the ability to prevent and treat all phases of COVID-19 and stop the spread of the pandemic.

Dr. Kory told her that the evidence clearly showed that ivermectin would keep people from dying. They would not have to go to the hospital because their lips would not be turning blue. They would not even get the virus to begin with.

Ivermectin — the little, 40-year-old, inexpensive, off-patent, safe, Nobel prize-winning drug engine that could….but then couldn’t…because the AP would have none of it.

On December 11, AP “reporter” Beatrice Dupuy wrote, “There’s no evidence ivermectin has been proven a safe or effective treatment against COVID-19.“

Upon seeing those deadly words, the entire FLCCC Alliance team erupted as follows: “WHAAAAAAT???????????????”

You do not have time to read the totality of my prosecution of the lethal words of Ms. Dupuy. (I am the Co-Coordinator of the FLCCC Alliance’s Communications and Education team…but writing this as an individual.)

So let me just provide you with what the AP and Ms. Dupuy characterized as “no evidence.”

· 13 peer-reviewed Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs)

· 2 peer-reviewed case series

· Observational trials with matched control groups for comparison that comported with the conclusions of the RCTs. (This consistency is what first alerted the FLCCC Alliance to ivermectin’s efficacy.)

· Data from the 24 controlled trials studying ivermectin —which included a total of over 7,200 patients, 3,000 of which were in the RCTs—showed consistent, reproducible, large magnitude benefits.

· The studies revealed high levels of statistical significance showing large scale benefit in transmission rates, need for hospitalization, and death.

· Epidemiologic data showing many regions, countries, states and cities that had initiated ivermectin distribution campaigns have essentially controlled COVID-19

· FLCCC Alliance researchers noted the totality of trials data supporting ivermectin is without precedent.

· The NIH has not reviewed its recommendation for Ivermectin since August 27 — well before these studies started to quickly emerge.

So we knew we had data that was solid, scientifically proven medical evidence. This was data that powerfully demonstrated Ivermectin’s ability to quickly stop the pandemic…and even re-open economies sooner than anyone expected.

We knew this article could not stand, because if it did, it would be contributing to the horrific bloodbath from COVID-19 occurring in hospitals and ICUs throughout the country. Because, well, the AP’s stories go everywhere. Here and around the world. You know, the AP saying there is “no evidence that Ivermectin has been proven a safe or effective treatment against COVID-19” would probably keep people from seeking it out and talking to their doctors to save themselves. Just a guess…

So, the FLCCC Alliance quickly contacted the AP and pleaded with their senior executives to review the data again, to publicly retract the story and to issue a correction based upon the scientific data we provided. (By the way, since Dr. Kory presented Ms. Dupuy with the scientific evidence, seven more RCTs have been published — all demonstrating strong efficacy of Ivermectin to stop COVID-19 in its tracks…starting NOW.)

We waited several days for them to respond. We were impatient, because people were still dying at tragic rates. We needed that retraction—and FAST. We wanted to believe that the time they were taking was a sign that they were indeed reviewing what our irrefutable (and clearly reproducible) evidence showed.

Then, we received an email from the AP’s VP for Standards. It stated, in part:

“…We now have reviewed the AP’s Dec. 11 story and have not found any factual error. To date, ivermectin has not been proven safe or effective against COVID-19. National Institutes of Health treatment guidelines recommend against the use of ivermectin for COVID-19 except in a clinical trial. The drug is not FDA-approved for treating COVID-19…”

OMG! AP: Our evidence CLEARLY shows that ivermectin has been proven both safe AND effective for COVID-19. What the *#@* are you talking about? What don’t you understand about irrefutable medical evidence that makes you go against the science? Do you know what this means ? People are dying! And they do not have to!

Devastation. DEVASTATION. DEVASTATION.

Our appeal will not end with that “we’re slamming the door on you, now go away” email. Because by suppressing this information, and worse, calling it “unproven” and “false”, hundreds of thousands of people are being consigned to their early graves. This, in our opinion, is an egregious act that rises to a criminal level. The science doesn’t lie. So we will fight on.

The comprehensive scientific manuscript the AP “reporter” had (but likely never read) is HERE. The one-page summary of the science is HERE.

Our campaign continues on Twitter: @Covid19Critical

To an extent, it also continues on Facebook — where we are not permitted to write the name, “Ivermectin”, in any of our posts. We have been in Facebook jail 3 times for doing so. We’ve been censored on YouTube too, and still cannot use our channel to upload new content. And, oh yeah… the AP works with Facebook in their “fact-checkers” program. See the connection? Yep, we do too.
